PROCEDURE OF THREAD LIFT

INITIAL CONSULTATION

The procedure of Thread Lift begins with an initial consultation session held between the client and doctor. During this session, the doctor will analyze your skin and ensure you’re a good candidate for this treatment. You will discuss all the details related to the procedure, such as downtime, expected results, your daily hygiene routine in first days after the procedure. etc. Furthermore, the doctor will also listen to your concerns and ensure there is no ambiguity; you will develop better understanding of the procedure and benefits you’ll get.

In course of the consultation with the doctor you will fix the suitable date and timing of the procedure and you’ll be given some instructions that you must follow like examples below:
• If you are taking any blood thinners like aspirins, you should stop taking them at least one week before your appointment.
• Similarly, NSAIDs are also not recommended before the procedure.
• On the day of the appointment, you should come to the clinic without any makeup because it will have to be removed before the procedure.

PROCEDURE

During this procedure, the doctor inserts medical-grade threads or sutures inside the skin with the help of a thin cannula. Then, the skin is tightened by pulling up these threads. There are tiny barbs that are attached to these strings. The function of these barbs is to hold the skin and lift it to give it a younger appearance. The number of threads a patient requires vary depending on the size of the treatment area.

POST-TREATMENT CARE

The basic myths about APTOS thread rejuvenation

Myth 1. Correction with threads restricts facial expressions.

Reality: APTOS products do not contain botulinum toxin or other substances that affect the mobility of the musculature. Myth 2. After the time elapses, the threads need to be extracted.

Reality: There are two main varieties of APTOS threads: absorbable and non-absorbable. Based on the name, the first ones dissolve and completely removed from the body on their own approximately one year to 18 months after procedure, while the lifting effect lasts up to 2 years, depending on the client’s lifestyle and compliance recommendations during the rehabilitation period. The action of non-absorbable threads lasts for a longer period (up to five years), but they do not require extraction even after the end of their action. Exceptions are individual cases according the request of the client.

Myth 3. The thread lifting prevents the traditional plastic surgery.

Reality: The presence of APTOS threads is not a contraindication to surgical interventions, as well as any other cosmetic procedures in the field of their administration. However, before carrying out any medical manipulations, it is necessary to inform the doctor about the previous procedure of thread lifting.

Myth 4. After the introduction of threads on the face skin irregularities or mumps may appear.

Within a few days after the lifting, small hematomas, irregularities, slight asymmetry and swelling may occur. However, such symptoms are not a cause for concern and will completely disappear within 1-2 weeks. If these symptoms persist for more than 3 weeks, it is recommended to consult with the doctor who carried out the procedure to resolve them.

Myth 5. The contours of the threads under the skin will be visible

Installation of threads is made in the skin to a depth of 3-5 mm, which excludes the possibility of their contouring on the skin surface and other negative consequences.
